AboutMean Spirited - Possessive - Deceitful
Azure has always been very possessive of everything in her life. Be it her things or even friends. As such she is not one who is eager to share, especially not when it comes to her oldest friends. They are hers, they should not even dare to think of getting any other friends, or worse, leave her. Such a thing would be utter betrayal, even if said friendship has been fraying at the edges for years. No, once something belongs to Azure it will always be her, no matter what happens. It does not help that Azure got everything handed to her on a silver platter. Everything she wanted she got, and not all was just handed to her. This girl lies and manipulates to her heart's content. She cares very little about the lies as they are just a means to an end, a tool to use. If it gains her the thing she desires then why shouldn’t she lie? Azure sees no harm in it. It is a skill she’s proud of. That pride is not for he lies alone, for Azure has done well in everything she tried. |
Yet she is also incredibly clingy. This was not too obvious in her human life. Yes she clung to certain things and people, yes she never let Vermilion go, despite their friendship being a dying ember of a once burning fire. Her first friend when she desperately needed one, her one friend throughout all, even if Azure certainly said a few bad things about her along the way. Yet she clung to vermilion. She chased away any new friends, kept her close, not willing to lose her. Azure is not certain why this is, why the thought of losing her scares her this much. She shouldn’t care, not for someone so pathetic, yet she does. Not that she cares for her, no. Azure just cares that she owns her. Maybe it’s the thought of being alone, truly alone, that frightens her so much.
Now that she is cursed with the life of an esk she refuses to let Vermilion go. She will stay, she wouldn’t dare leave her. It’s her punishment for doing this to her and Azure and Azure, being who she is, will use every nasty trick she has to make sure she stays. |
Boundary
Cursed be this rock, this bane of her existence. How she is tied to it, unable to leave. It pulls at her, a tight lease around her neck, choking her when she dares hop off. Surely, this must be a curse, a curse placed on her by her once friend. For why else would Vermilion be able to leave so easily while she, Azure, is stuck on this pathetic rock.
It’s too hot during the days, too cold during the nights. The unrelenting sun burning her at a daily rate, for even reaching the shade her rock provides is in vain. The leash is too tight. From her perch she has a grand view of the desert, of all the stupid rocks and that itchy sand. She can see far into the desert, see the rocky foothills that are part of her new home. On clear days she even spots mountains in the distance, for all the good that that does her, for it is a cruel reminder to what she will never be able to reach them. At the base of her rock, where stone meets ground, grows several bushes. She has seen this plant before, on the back of Vermilion. Those yellow flowers taunt her, for she can’t reach them, can’t even go down to tear them from their homes. |
